Cyclist counts are often conducted in certain time interval for several reasons, each contributing to effective planning, policy-making, and resource allocation for cycling infrastructure.

• NCS counted the volume of cyclist after a year of construction of shared cycle lane from Kpondole to Lagankhel as a part of project evaluation.
• It was measured that the volume of cyclist has been increased at-least by 25%.

Overall, cyclist counts provide valuable insights to evaluate the constructed infrastructure that support effective planning, maintenance, and policy development, ensuring that cycling infrastructure meets the needs of its users and continues to support and promote cycling as a sustainable transportation option.
